Trade Commissioner, the Pacific
Michael is the Pacific Trade Commissioner for NZTE and is responsible for managing NZTE’s strategic involvement in the Pacific. Michael is based in Auckland and works across Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga with the aim of developing a response programme to Pacific-wide trade activities. He also intends to work with Auckland-based Pacific Business Councils and other Pacific Island stakeholders, including the Pacific Island Trade Investment Council and Austrade to develop a collaborative approach to building trade links and economic capability throughout the Pacific. Michael has previously been posted in Suva as Trade Commissioner, and has also been based in Dunedin as Regional Manager for Otago/Southland and the Chatham Islands. Michael’s sector background is in specialised manufacturing and ICT.

Trade Commissioner, Melbourne
Daniel is Trade Commissioner to Melbourne, where he is responsible for promoting and facilitating trade opportunities and strategic relationships for New Zealand companies in Victoria and Tasmania. Daniel was previously NZTE's Ministerial Advisor in the Office of the Minister for Economic Development. He has also worked as a Contract Manager for NZTE's training and advisory programmes. Before joining NZTE, Daniel was actively involved in exporting, working in the fresh produce sector. As well as his Trade Commissioner role, Daniel has consular responsibilities for the state of Victoria. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from Victoria University, Wellington.
