As New Zealand’s economic development agency, NZTE aims to improve the international competitiveness and sustained profitability of New Zealand business by providing access to people, knowledge and opportunities.
The new website at www.nzte.govt.nz supports this goal. Launched in April 2009, the new site was conceived to provide a client-centric experience and deliver high-quality content to meet users’ needs.
Through this site, we aim to provide information about and access to NZTE’s programmes and services in a clear, efficient manner. The content has been organised to provide logical pathways to information, and to present appropriate “next-steps” courses of action at relevant times.
We have also enhanced access to our broad range of market information and business knowledge, updated regularly through our network of international and New Zealand staff.
What's new
The new Explore Export Markets section of the site provides two ways to access market information - by country or by industry - and features export intelligence reports on the latest trends, commercial opportunities and company movements in key markets around the world.
The new Features and Commentary section offers stories and case studies about New Zealand businesses succeeding at home and abroad, articles that explore the challenges of doing business in a globalised economy, and knowledgeable commentary on business practice and the economy.
Throughout the Develop Knowledge and Expertise section, you'll find NZTE programmes that help businesses upskill their staffs, build new capabilities and enhance productivity, as well as advanced exporter guides that focus on particular challenges of the export process.
The Access International Networks section offers up our services designed to connect you with opportunities in overseas markets, and provide assistance for your business to operate internationally.
Get Ready to Export is the starting point for businesses new to the idea of taking their products and their businesses to overseas markets, or those just hatching ideas to set up a new business. It offers how-to guides, support and references to other government resources.

What's coming next
The April 2009 delivery is the first in a series of phases for the new NZTE website. Over time, we will develop the content, functionality and usefulness of the site to meet the changing needs of our users.
