Benefits of the Beachheads programme

Businesses in the Beachheads programme have access to the knowledge and networks of NZTE and private sector Advisors to help them develop frameworks for the future and, ultimately, achieve export growth.

Through the use of a collaborative account management plan, which has measurable goals and allocated responsibilities, businesses will understand what to expect from Beachheads from the beginning of their engagement.

Expert in-market advice and expertise

The core element of the Beachheads programme is access to the advice and networks of private sector Advisors to help improve your business’s international connections.

Companies accepted into the two-year programme are assigned an in-market advisor who provides companies with tailored advice and if appropriate, access to their own personal networks. They are also assigned a New Zealand Advisory Board champion.

Advisory services are available in China, Europe, India, Middle East, North America, South America and Southeast Asia and Japan.

Business development assistance

Beachheads participants receive strategic and sector focused in-market networking, information and advice from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) in collaboration with the advisory board in each market, as well as other companies who have graduated from the programme.

NZTE’s in-market Beachheads Programme Managers are located in each Beachhead region and work closely with participating companies and our Advisors. They are the link between advisors and companies and: 

  • provide practical on the ground help including links to professional services such as accountants, banks or lawyers
  • provide business development activities including access to local business networks
  • work with your New Zealand-based client managers to make sure  participating companies make the most of NZTE’s suite of services.

The Brand Partnership programme

Beachheads companies are automatically eligible to become brand partners without initial assessment. As brand partners, companies are authorised to use the Brand New Zealand Fern Mark on their marketing collateral for the duration of their partnership agreement.

Office space

The Middle East (Dubai) and Beachhead locations also have office space available for short or long term tenancy.
