Finder’s fee agreements

A finder’s fee is paid in return for leads that result in product sales.

A written agreement between the contracting parties will typically cover:

  • the fee to be paid (e.g. 2 percent of the final selling price for leads generated) and payment terms
  • scope of responsibility and the procedures both parties will follow
  • payment for repeat sales generated by the lead
  • term of the agreement and possible restraint of trade clause
  • confidentiality
