Research and planning

To give your overseas venture the best chance of success you need to research and develop an export business plan. Your plan will provide a roadmap of how you plan to enter and compete in overseas markets.

It is also important to evaluate your business and its strengths and weaknesses. In particular you need to evaluate the people and skills in your business. Exporting requires particular skills and knowledge that may not be used in your New Zealand operations.
