SINGAPORE: Trials of Mitsubishi’s i-MieV electric car are set to begin in Singapore in June, according to The Straits Times.
Trials of battery powered cars are part of a S$20 million study on the durability and viability of electric vehicles which is being funded by Singapore’s Energy Market Authority.
“The trial is open only to institutions, government bodies and corporations, and the first fleet of Mitsubishi i-MieVs have already arrived,” the Straits Times reported.
“Bosch will roll out the charging network, said to be around 25 stations, while Singaporean electric vehicle charging company Greenlots will supply Bosch with ‘made in Singapore’ tamper and weather-proof chargers.”
