HAMBURG: Four German investment groups have bought dairy and dairy conversion farmland in the South Island.
The size of land purchased totals 3,314 hectares.
The sale was approved by the Overseas Investment Office.
One of these investment groups is DAH-Beteiligungen, which is owned by the founder of SAP.
One of the other groups, AgInvest, has been active in New Zealand since 1986.
