Ikea to up Spanish presence

MADRID: Ikea plans to create 20,000 new Spanish jobs over the next six years as part of a 2 billion Euro expansion plan in Spain.

The Swedish home furnishing and decoration retailer plans to open twelve new stores, nine in its own commercial complexes, reports the Invest in Spain website.

This will involve opening an average of two stores a year to 2015, doubling the size of Ikea’s presence in Spain.
