India has selected four projects to seek funding from the international Clean Technology Fund (CTF), the Hindustan Times reported.
The fund was initiated to help developing countries check carbon dioxide emission growth , and is supported by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
According to the Hindustan Times, the first set of projects identified by the Indian government are:
- Improving regulatory mechanism for hydro projects in Himachal Pradesh
- Augmenting the national mission on energy efficiency
- Augmenting the country’s approach towards solar energy
- A partial risk guarantee for energy efficiency technologies
