BioTaiwan is one of the two biggest bio-focused events in Taiwan, and the number of visitors attending this year’s show exceeded expectation.
Functional Whole Foods New Zealand Limited, Oritain Global, Nature’s Beauty (NZ) Ltd, New Zealand Extracts Limited, and IZON Science were able to exhibit their products and services to potential Taiwanese partners during the four day exhibition.
Taiwan’s biotechnology industry, which is gradually recovering from the financial crisis, presents an opportunity for New Zealand companies to partner up with Taiwanese partners for introducing ingredients or finished products into the market, and potentially expand into the Chinese market through Taiwan.
Additionally, the continuous commitment from Taiwan’s government to the sector and the reform of China’s medical system is expected to give the Taiwanese biotechnology industry a boost in the future.
