LONDON: Tesco has announced that it will trial the country’s first ever drive-through supermarket.
The supermarket, to be set up in Hertfordshire, is targeted at customers who are short of time, particularly mothers of young children.
It is designed to appeal to people who want their shopping picked, packed and easy to collect but who do not have the time to wait at home for delivery or want the challenge of shopping with kids.
A flat £2 charge will apply in this trial, which will be rolled out if successful.
