WASHINGTON: Leading technology providers and Lockheed Martin have agreed to collaborate on dealing with cyber threats, forming the Cyber Security Alliance.

Participating companies include Cisco, Dell, HP, Intel, McAfee, Microsoft, NetApp and Symantec.

Government Computer News says the alliance represents a significant commitment by competing technology companies to work collaboratively on detecting and protecting against cyber threats and developing ways to automatically repair network systems after attacks.
