WHSmith boosts Australian presence

SYDNEY: Specialist bookseller WHSmith has boosted its Australian presence with the opening of its new store at Sydney Airport’s Arrivals Hall, according to The Moodie Report.

The company’s first store was opened late last year at Melbourne Airport.

“We are delighted to be opening our second Australian store in Sydney Airport and are very much looking forward to bringing dedicated news, magazines, books and convenience offerings to the airport community, ” WHSmith Travel Chief Operating Officer Simon Smith was reported as saying.

WHSmith operates over 1,000 stores in the United Kingdom and in a number of international locations, including the Copenhagen, Stockholm, Melbourne and Delhi airports.
