Remuneration of staff

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu says minimum-wage rates at Vietnamese firms, both private and state-owned, are set much lower than at Foreign-invested Enterprises (FIEs).

The actual wage levels of most skilled workers in Vietnam are much higher than the minimum wage and employers also frequently pay the personal income tax obligations of their skilled employees.
