Belgium has the advantages of an excellent location, a well developed financial structure, a stable environment for businesses and a highly skilled, multilingual workforce. Belgium is divided into three regions - Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels. The regions differ in the languages that are spoken as well as politics and economic indicators.

Industry in Belgium is dominated by the services sector, which accounts for 77.2 percent of GDP. In the capital city Brussels, the majority of businesses are SMEs. Among these, there is a concentration of information and technology companies.
