Kiwi businesses gained a new entry point into China when NZTE opened New Zealand Central in Shanghai in November 2008. The centre is on the edge of the prestigious Xintiandi area: an upmarket retail, leisure and residential precinct in downtown Shanghai’s Puxi district.

The new business-to-business initiative will help companies grow their business in China. It will support company strategies in the region and help businesses make the most of the New Zealand China Free Trade Agreement as it comes into force.
New Zealand companies can use the centre’s meeting rooms, hot desks, a demonstration kitchen, and multi-purpose function and event space.
An ongoing programme of events, promotions, seminars and networking will back up trade and investment opportunities.
The centre can support New Zealand businesses as they build brand recognition, profile and a network of contacts.
