The New Zealand Trade Development Centre in Taipei will host a webinar on 3 December on the subject of the nutraceuticals market in Taiwan.
The webinar will be presented by Dr Lu-Hung Chen, Deputy Director of Taiwan’s Food Industry Research & Development Institute.
Dr Chen will give an overview of the nutraceuticals market including its size, growth drivers, leading brands, popular products in the market, distribution channels, consumer behaviour and an overview of import regulations.
Looking ahead, he will share insights on the impacts of Taiwan’s ageing society, the easing of the Taiwan-China relationship, the growth of locally made products and the growth of virtual distribution channels.
Even though it has a population of only 23 million, Taiwan consumes around $4 billion of nutraceuticals annually. New Zealand products are well accepted there and it is now one of New Zealand’s leading markets for nutraceuticals, but with a very small market share there is ample room for growth. The webinar will be from 3:00 to 5:00pm New Zealand time on 3 December 2009.
