Animators, visual effect artists and game designers are set to converge on Wellington at the beginning of next month for AnimFX 2009.
Presenters include John Stevenson, the story artist for Shrek 2, Paul Debevec, the associate director of graphics research at the University of Southern California and Jeffrey Okun, the lead visual effects creator for The Day the Earth Stood Still.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has been a strong supporter of AninfxNZ since it started in 2006, and is a strategic partner for the 2009 event.
The event has been instrumental in building a number of international strategic relationships and deals for New Zealand companies.
In total, the opportunities that AnimfxNZ has provided New Zealand businesses has led to the creation of tens of millions of dollars of economic benefit and hundreds of jobs.
AnimFX 2009 will be held at Te Papa and the Museum Hotel, Wellington from 5 to 7 November.
