Investment New Zealand has changed its name to reflect its role as part of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), the New Zealand Government’s national economic development agency.
Investment New Zealand has been a specialist division within NZTE since 2003, but until now has maintained a separate brand identity and name. It is now known as NZTE’s Investment team.
NZTE Investment Director Graham Matthews said the move away from using the Investment New Zealand identity better reflected NZTE’s collaborative approach to trade and investment promotion activities.
“The role of NZTE’s Investment team hasn’t changed. We’re here to increase the quality and quantity of foreign direct investment into New Zealand, and to support New Zealand businesses to attract foreign investment or to invest overseas themselves.
“NZTE’s Investment team continues to be a first point of contact for international investors who are interested in learning more about opportunities in New Zealand. We can provide information to help them make investment decisions and introduce them to relevant local and central Government agencies as well as potential private sector business partners,” he said.
Contact details for the NZTE Investment team remain the same, and are available on NZTE's Investment website.
