To be eligible for any of the Australia New Zealand Biotechnology Partnership Fund (ANZBPF) categories, New Zealand applicants must:
- be operating in the biotechnology industry and have a clear objective to establish commercial trans-Tasman partnerships
- have projects that clearly contribute to growth of the biotechnology sector and be an expansion of the applicant company’s market horizons, rather than “business as usual”
- show how funding will lead to a net economic benefit (beyond private benefits to the applicant alone)
- be a New Zealand public or private company; or a commercial entity from within a Tertiary Education Institution (TEI) or Crown Research Institution (CRI)
- be resident in New Zealand and registered for tax purposes
- confirm that projects comply with New Zealand laws, regulations, and international commitments
- confirm that projects comply with the laws, regulations and international commitments of your international partner if you are applying for the New Zealand-Australian-International Collaborative Project category.
- demonstrate that they have the ability to carry out their part of the joint project and its development
- have the ability to build on personal networks and source funding from a range of Australian and New Zealand sources.
As the ANZBPF budget is limited, meeting basic entry criteria does not guarantee funding.
