Once Upon a Leader: Leadership Pathways to Wealth Creation in Science and Technology

Last Updated: March 2004

The Once Upon a Leader study of 31 New Zealand business leaders has established a clear pathway for successful leaders to follow. The Royal Society study, funded by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), was initiated to help determine how to develop more successful leaders to commercialise and export the nation’s science and technology.  Released on 22 March 2004 it has revealed some common influences and a clear pathway for successful leaders that the project team hopes will help individuals diagnose their own needs and stage of development and enable other organisations to assist and encourage them.
