Export earnings profile - pulling in the dollars, year to June 2006

In the year to June 2006, 12,678 exporters exported a total of NZ$30,799,416,230. The majority of exporters exported less than $500,000 each.

A substantial 74.78 percent of the total value of exports was generated by 157 exporters. 

Since 1996 the number of New Zealand exporters has increased by around one-third, along with the value of exports.

NZTE publishes a graphical representation of the export earnings profile of exporters. The graph "Pulling in the dollars" presents the same information as the "wine glass" graphic published in previous years.
