Office of the Auditor General audit of NZTE grant programmes

The Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) has completed a follow-up audit of NZTE’s administration of grant programmes.  The audit report was tabled in Parliament on 20 March 2008.

The report shows that NZTE is effectively and efficiently administering the grant programmes that were examined, in keeping with the intentions of Government.

“The results are satisfying, and reflect effort across the organisation and an internal commitment to business improvement. The intention is to use the strengths of the programme to improve wider business processes and to streamline grant administration to improve the customer experience.” - NZTE Chief Executive Tim Gibson.

NZTE will continue to ensure that programme and business processes are prudent and administratively sensible, and meet both the needs of our clients and the requirements of government.
