Working in our Australia Pacific offices

Our Australia Pacific teams are based in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in Australia, and in Papua New Guinea’s capital, Port Moresby.

Sharon-May McCrostie is our Regional Director for Australia Pacific, based in Sydney.

Team culture and life in the region

We have around 25 people in our team and Sydney is our head office. Given our close geographic location, we travel to New Zealand regularly meaning that we are well connected to the New Zealand-based based team and our trans-Tasman customers. We feel close to the action.

Our contacts, networks and intimate understanding of the market makes a real difference to our customers. We are a highly driven and motivated team with a cohesive and supportive culture. We have some action groups to support how we operate such as a health and wellbeing.

Life in Australia’s major cities is fast-paced, yet it still has a fairly relaxed way of life, with a lot of Australians’ lifestyles focusing on the outdoors and sports. Australia has a multicultural population with a great variety of cuisines available, people with different customs and links around the world, and various consumer preferences.

We also provide support to New Zealand businesses looking to explore Pacific Island markets, with a Trade Commissioner based in Papua New Guinea, and other Pacific locations serviced by our people based across Australia (with support from New Zealand).

Some roles do require you to be able to travel, domestically or internationally - how often you might travel varies according to the position.

"After a long corporate career, it is gratifying that the bottom line is the success of our customers and the economic impact for New Zealand." Alan Munro, Trade Commissioner, Sydney
