Working in our East Asia offices

Our East Asia teams are based in Bangkok (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh (Viet Nam), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Manila (the Philippines), Seoul (South Korea), Singapore, and Tokyo (Japan).

Clare Wilson is our Regional Director for East Asia, based in Singapore.

Team culture and life in the region

Our East Asia culture is collaborative, working as one team across the ASEAN region and closely with our colleagues on projects in Korea and Japan. East Asia is made up of extremely diverse countries from Indonesia in the South to Japan in the North. Our people work together on regional projects, with experts from each sector and each Asian market bringing their own unique perspectives.

Our regional team of around 60 people provides business development and investment assistance to key New Zealand companies operating in Asia. These companies vary in size and sector, covering everything from food and beverage to manufacturing and digital technology.

Our people have regular opportunities to work on different projects, across multiple verticals and markets. Many of them go on to work in senior roles with New Zealand companies, in major corporations, and in government.

Some roles do require you to be able to travel, domestically or internationally - how often you might travel varies according to the position.

“The most rewarding thing about this role is having a fantastic team that wraps around exciting companies we are supporting.” Clare Wilson, Regional Director East Asia, Singapore
