Recent NZTE appointments

5 April 2015: New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) has made several new appointments recently.

Damon Paling took up the role of Trade Commissioner to Shanghai in January 2016. Damon has 18 years of business experience in Asia having worked with global accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), most recently leading a 30 person trade and customs consulting team in Shanghai.

Alan Munro is Trade Commissioner in Sydney overseeing NZTE’s activity in New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territories. Alan has a background in sales and marketing leadership roles in the information and communication technology sector in New Zealand, Australia, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Beatrice Faumuinā ONZM has been appointed as Trade Commissioner New York, helping New Zealand companies do business in the East Coast of the USA. Prior to joining NZTE, Beatrice was Head of Talent and People Strategy for ASB Bank. She was also founding CEO of the BEST Pasifika Leadership Academy and Charitable Foundation.

Martin Cudd is a Customer Director based in Christchurch and leads a team of Customer Managers who work to help grow the export sales of NZTE’s Foundation customers. He has over 15 years’ experience in sales and strategic roles across various industries.

Amanda Martin is a Customer Director leading a team of Customer Managers covering the Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne, Bay of Plenty and Waikato and is based in NZTE’s Napier office. Amanda has been with NZTE since 2013 and prior to taking up this role was a Customer Manager.
