Margaret Haseltine brings more than 30 years' business experience in a broad range of senior positions and 10 years' experience in board directorship. A proven executive leader, Margaret has delivered significant achievements in the areas of change management, governance, organisational culture and profitability.
Extensively experienced in the food and beverage sector, Margaret was CEO of Mars Food Australia for five years from 2004 after holding a number of key executive and senior management roles over her 20 years with the company.
During her time as CEO, Margaret’s responsibilities included full P&L management and leadership for a $380 million food manufacturing business employing more than 580 people. She was also responsible for running the Mars Inc. supply chain for Australasia with a $1 billion portfolio.
Since leaving Mars six years ago, Margaret has embarked on a professional career as a non-executive director, and has worked with over 10 boards in various roles and sub-committees.
Margaret maintains strong industry links with professional bodies such as the Australian Food and Grocery Council and the National Food Precinct. She has a passion for great corporate governance and three of her board appointments involve ministerial duties. This includes the Central Coast Water Corporation, the National Skills and Standards Committee and the Ourimbah Campuses Advisory Board.
Board appointments include Deputy Chair of the iconic food distributor Stuart Alexander, Fantastic Holdings (Fantastic Furniture) which is the third largest retailer in Australia by sales value, and the NZ Southern Hospitality Ltd board, New Zealand's largest hospitality and food service equipment supply company, as their Australian Independent Director.
Margaret has strong experience in policy and procedures and up until recently was a non-executive director of NCSI, an audit and accreditation company.
Margaret is a member of Women on Boards, and Chief Executive Women, while mentoring and advising in many of the board-ready programmes.
