Philip Cronin is a former Senior Executive with Intel Corporation and is currently a Director of Eclipse Innovation, a boutique consultancy company focused on delivering business solutions to leading Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific companies.
During an extensive 18-year career as a senior executive with Intel in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, Philip was responsible for developing and implementing strategies to accelerate the uptake of Intel technologies, grow Intel business across a wide portfolio and bring the benefits of this technology to customers in Asia-Pacific and Japan.
Philip was Intel’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand from 2004 to 2012, during which he successfully led the ANZ team, growing Intel’s business, positioning Intel as a leader in providing technologies that are changing the way people live and work. During this period, Intel products business growth reached 200%.
In his career with Intel, Philip has been responsible for building business in Embedded, Enterprise Solutions, Channels, Education, MNC & Security Software/Solutions in over 18 countries in the region including strategies for Mature & Emerging markets. With a keen focus on building high performing teams across businesses and a keen eye for customer needs, Philip has successfully developed strategies for overall business growth.
He has worked as a technology advisor to the Australian Federal Government, and served as Chairman and Board member of the Australian Information Industry Association, (AiiA) from 2005-12. Philip has also served as a member of the NSW advisory panel to the Minister for Finance and Services on ICT strategy.
Philip was also Managing Director for Intel South East Asia in 2006/7 and during his career, has worked for a number of companies in Sales & Marketing roles, M&A & JV’s in India. Philip sits on 2 advisory boards to Australian SME companies.
He is also a member of the Irish Government's “Global Irish Network’ to foster business opportunities and promote trade.
