Shusaku Minoda

Shusaku Minoda has been in the banking and investment sector for almost 40 years since he graduated from university. He joined KKR in 2007 as CEO and also been acting as chairman of KKR Japan since 2013.

Prior to his career at KKR, Mr Minoda was managing executive officer in charge of Global Investment Banking Group of Mizuho Corporate Bank and was a member of the management committee of the Bank since 2004. He worked as general manager of the Syndicated Finance Department from 1998 to 2003.

In his effort to develop the Syndicated Financial Market in Japan, he became one of the founding members of the Japan Syndication and Loan Trading Association and served as chairman of the association from 2003 to 2005. Previously, he was managing director in charge of primary and secondary bond trading, derivatives, structured products, Japanese equity and research at IBJ International PLC in London from 1995 to 1998. Mr Minoda also worked for IBJ’s London Branch as treasurer from 1990 to 1995.

Mr Minoda graduated from Hitotsubashi University in 1974 with an Economics major.
