Beachhead Advisor, Middle East
Mahmoud Haidar is a lecturer at the American University of Beirut and is the chair of the Middle East Beachheads advisors.
Mahmoud has extensive policy and business experience with operational and consulting exposure in Europe, North America, and the Middle East and Africa. He has worked in and alongside government agencies on projects involving economic development, ICT, and restructuring arenas: analysing political, implementation and regulation aspects in both counselling policymakers and program execution roles.
Mahmoud has solid experience in corporate strategy, marketing, and technical departments in telecommunications, IT, and general management. He has been a board member with numerous firms and advised investors on new markets, technologies, and acquisitions.
Mahmoud is formally trained as a computer and telecommunications engineer. He also holds an MBA in strategy and innovation, and a Master's in international relations. He is a lecturer in business, public policy, and critical thinking, and he holds an international patent in the field of payment systems.
