Gabe Rijpma

Gabe has been extremely passionate about health and technology for more than 25 years. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, Gabe spent 20 years at Microsoft in senior executive roles throughout Asia, the United States and Australia, most recently as the Senior Director Health & Social Services for Asia at Microsoft. In this role his responsibilities included leading and defining the solution offerings and strategy for meeting the needs of healthcare customers and technology companies across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, India, Greater China and Japan. Gabe is currently the CEO of Aceso Health where he is leading a great team of innovators and delivering software for the health industry focussed on improving the performance of health systems to be able to deliver better care, process management and data insights across complex health delivery networks.

Gabe started his working career in Christchurch as a software developer and systems architect. He was an early pioneer in technology and internet start-ups. After moving to Sydney, he joined Microsoft in 2000 which set the basis for his career across multiple continents. Gabe worked with some of the largest corporations and national governments in transforming their businesses through the application of ICT.

Gabe has extensive experience working across start-ups, ISVs, systems integrators and international customers with a special focus and passion in the area of healthcare. This has resulted in Gabe building a very broad network in the public and private sectors across Asia.

Gabe is a very strategic thinker, strong executer and is known for his ability to solve business problems. He is passionate about New Zealand, its reputation and the companies who have taken on the global market.
