Lovina is a global technology executive with 20 years of experience developing products, driving go-to-market strategies and managing P&Ls. At Amazon she was a pioneer in helping Amazon move into the subscription economy. She was responsible for building the technology platform that allowed both Amazon teams and external teams to launch and sell subscription products on Amazon. She managed the end to end business including functions such as sales, marketing and operations teams and scaled the P&L into a $300m+ business. Across her time at Amazon she also worked with the Alexa team to help build out voice-based shopping services and spoke at international conferences on Voice as the next technology platform.
At Microsoft, Lovina held several senior product leadership roles focused on growing new forms of monetization for both Skype communication services and for Windows. She did an international tour of duty with the company working for several years as Chief Marketing Officer for Latin America. At Starbucks she launched several technology innovation services including the in-store wifi network and Starbucks first "order by phone" offering.
Before leaving New Zealand, Lovina held roles as Director of Data Science for Colmar-Brunton research and Head of Pricing for Vodafone. Lovina has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master degree in Statistics from the University of Auckland.
Currently, Lovina is based in Auckland and is a Venture Partner for Movac Ltd. She also serves on the board of Uneeq, a series A funded company.
