Neil has a diverse and successful track-record from over 30 years in business. His comprehensive record of skills include achievements in business management, marketing, enterprise, governance, investment, advisory/consulting and academic pursuits.
Neil's expertise has been applied to start-ups, multi-national corporations, joint ventures, government, public sector and not-for-profits across many industries, markets and countries.
Neil is currently chairman of New Zealand Home Loans, Child Matters, Greenstone, Waikato Aggregates and Smart-Trade. He is on the Board of Imarda and Quantec, and is a Trustee of Te Awa River Ride and Momentum Foundation. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Waikato Management School and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
In 2014, Neil was named Waikato Business Leader of the Year in the Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards.
Neil holds a Bachelor's degree (with Merit) in commerce (marketing), a Master's degree in commerce (marketing strategy and consumer behaviour) from the University of New South Wales, and a Juris Doctor degree (business and trade practices law) from Southern Illinois University (USA).
