Sam is very passionate about building long-term value for NZ’s emerging businesses, particularly those looking to the US and innovating in subscription content, immersive technology, digital media, ad tech, education, and health.

Recently relocated to Auckland, she has a huge amount of media, entertainment, and digital strategy experience, especially in content rights and the subscription content space. She is an advocate of getting talent and investment into the regions and supports many regional economic and tech-based initiatives.

Sam has an excellent network of global contacts in media, investment, tech, and the creative arts, and more recently in not-for-profit organizations through her advisory work on business partnerships for various UN social impact groups. She was awarded a “Women in Media” scholarship to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership EMBA program, where she is completing her master’s thesis on creating more sustainable business models between media giants and lean startups.

She is a member of the US Boardlist, associate member of the BAFTA VR Council, a board director and is a mentor to a handful of clever young Kiwi entrepreneurs. 

Sam loves all things film and animation, Gisborne beaches, and blue sky days.
