Chuan Seng Lee

Chuan Seng brings extensive experience as an engineer and business consultant in Singapore to the Beachheads team.
His interest in New Zealand stems from his work with the engineering consultancy Beca Group, of which he was an executive director in New Zealand.
Chuan Seng is an award-winning industry leader, having led the expansion of the engineering consultancy Beca Asia into South East Asia and China for more than two decades, of which he is now the emeritus chairman.
He can draw on his knowledge of New Zealand, and his experience working in Asia, to help New Zealand companies navigate the building and construction industry in Singapore and the region.
Chuan Seng can share insights into business strategy, market development for services, and project management, as well as the regulatory environment in Singapore.
He has a passion for the environment and sustainability, and chairs a number of executive committees. He is chairman of the National Environment Agency of Singapore having served on its board for several years. Chuan Seng is also Deputy Chairman of the Singapore Standards Council, trustee of a philanthropic trust and an advisor to a number of organisations.
Chuan Seng is well-respected, and received the Singapore Government’s Public Service Medal in 2010 for his services to the engineering profession, and the Public Service Star in 2018 for his service to sustainability and the environment.
He was awarded the NZ–ASEAN Award in 2015 by the New Zealand Government for his services to NZTE.
