Vince is a respected and well-known expert in renewable energy, having held national leadership positions in the sector as well as governance roles.
He is the chairman of Alternergy and Solar Pacific, Philippine renewable power companies in wind, hydro and solar.
Vince is a champion for renewable energy, and to support New Zealand’s forward-thinking role in the sector, is keen to advise Kiwi companies on how to succeed in South East Asia.
He can draw on his experience at top-level policy setting, as Philippine Energy Secretary from 2001 to 2005, when he promoted clean indigenous energy and crafted an ambitious renewable energy policy framework.
Vince also has extensive governance experience, and serves on a number of company boards, including as an independent Board Director of Banco de Oro, the largest Philippine commercial bank. He has also been vice chairman of the Philippines’ Renewable Energy Board.
Based in the Philippines, he knows how to navigate the business culture and can also advise New Zealand companies on what is expected when they set foot in the country.
His expertise extends to emerging markets and financing, having spent a large part of his career in private equity in Latin America, London, New York and Singapore.
Vince was a Yale World Fellow where he lectured an MBA class on renewable power.
