Peter leads NZTE's work in overseas markets. This includes leadership of the regional directors responsible for the customer work in the seven international regions and more than 40 international offices.

Prior to taking up his current role in July 2015, Peter was General Manager Customers where he was responsible for NZTE's New Zealand-based Customer Team. During this time, he led the design, development and implementation of the NZTE Customer Way.

Before joining NZTE in 2011, Peter was a member of the Executive Team of the New Zealand Post Group for more than 10 years. For the last five years, Peter was Chief Executive of Postal Services for New Zealand Post where he provided strategic leadership of the domestic and international Postal Services business. 

While at New Zealand Post, Peter led the major $80 million modernisation programme known as FuturePost that introduced new customer services, technology and postal automation. 

At New Zealand Post he also held roles as General Manager Human Resources and Chief Operating Officer, Postal Services. Peter is based in Wellington. 

Peter has an LLB from the University of Canterbury, and has attended the Executive Development Programme at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
