Mission set to supercharge business connections in India
With a population of over 1.4 billion, a GDP growth rate of 6.5% and a rapidly expanding middle-class, India represents a substantial opportunity for New Zealand businesses.

38 of New Zealand’s leading businesses will participate in Prime Minister, the Right Hon Christopher Luxon’s mission to India next week (16-20 March). Supported by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), the mission will grow networks and enhance connections at all levels as part of the government’s goal to advance a broad, deep, and enduring strategic partnership with one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing economies.
“India is an exciting market in the world right now – a young, vibrant, energetic country driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and rampant modernisation,” said NZTE Chief Executive Peter Chrisp, who will travel as part of the official delegation.
“New Zealand companies are wanting to scale up our trade with India, particularly in areas where cutting-edge innovation can add value, like digital technologies, infrastructure, specialised manufacturing, primary industries and aerospace.”
With a population of over 1.4 billion, a GDP growth rate of 6.5% and a rapidly expanding, discerning middle-class, India represents a substantial opportunity for New Zealand businesses.
