Techweek’18 is focused on stories that are good for the world, highlighting exciting and innovative New Zealand companies that are making global impact across a multitude of sectors. New Zealand Trade and Enterprise is hosting three events during Techweek’18, hosting international media and helping to launch the New Zealand Technology and Innovation Story. Further detail below.
Launch of the New Zealand Technology and Innovation Story
For New Zealand to be globally recognised as a nation where ingenious solutions are born, we need a compelling, consistent and coherent narrative that frames up New Zealand’s proposition internationally. The New Zealand Technology and Innovation Story seeks to do just that, establishing New Zealand’s reputation in key offshore markets as a compelling and credible source of world class innovation and technology solutions.
The launch of the Story will take place on Day One of the Good for the World open days.
NZTE Hack Tairāwhiti
Connecting whanau to the tech venture ecosystem plays a vital role in improving Māori prosperity. NZTE Hack Tairāwhiti is a 48 hour hackathon being held between 18 - 20 of May 2018 as part of Techweek 2018. The hackathon brings together Maori tech exporters and the country’s top tech talent - designers, developers, creatives, entrepreneurs and business leaders - in a collaborative environment in Gisborne. Working together to solve specific business challenges, the event will demonstrate how harnessing the power of technology can enable us to grow scalable businesses from regional New Zealand to the world.
Singapore Tech Briefing
