LUXURY

Already well-established as a Pacific hub for sailors and superyachts with a penchant for adventure, New Zealand has also become a sought-after destination for yachts requiring refit and repair.

New Zealand is home to international award-winning superyacht yards and skilled tradespeople who refit some of the world's most prestigious and high-performance luxury yachts.

New Zealand's supporting marine infrastructure includes:

  • 215 marinas/yacht harbours;

  • 15,000 wet berths/slips, drystack berths, drysail berths;

  • 10,000 open moorings;

  • 260 slipways.

New Zealand is home to the Pacific's largest marinas, and Auckland offers boat owners and crew inner city moorings and purpose-built facilities right in the heart of the city, including the country's largest marine at Westhaven.

New Zealand is increasingly a destination for yacht owners from around the world, with hundreds of yachts visiting each year. One of New Zealand's most exclusive events, The NZ Millennium Cup is an annual regatta for superyachts hosted on Auckland's Hauraki Gulf. Historically held to align with the America's Cup that has been hosted locally and internationally, it is now an annual event on the superyacht circuit and is set to become the premier superyacht regatta of the South Pacific.
