Supreme Award: Gallagher Group

Gallagher Group is a global technology company delivering world-leading solutions in animal management and security to tens of thousands of customers in 160 countries. It designs, manufactures and exports the majority of its 3,500 products and solutions from New Zealand.

This honour recognises the team's relentless reinvention to scale and their continued successful growth, especially succeeding on the world stage in challenging segments. Judges agreed that Gallagher Group is setting the ultimate benchmark of international export success while still being headquartered in New Zealand.

Best Emerging Business: Starboard Maritime Intelligence

Brought to you by New Zealand Export Credit, The Treasury | Te Tai Ōhanga

Starboard Maritime Intelligence is a secure, cloud-based platform delivering maritime intelligence to governments, defence agencies and commercial infrastructure providers worldwide, to help counter threats like illegal fishing and dark fleet movement.

Judges commended Starboard Maritime Intelligence for the scale of impact it could achieve with the level of tech it has, and how its growth will bring back highly skilled talent to New Zealand. Judges also highlighted how the company is leveraging and strengthening values like trust, authenticity and safety, to succeed in a newer sector in Aotearoa.

Best Medium Business: The Pure Food Co

The Pure Food Co is a nutrition company transforming the health of older adults through innovative, science-backed food solutions. Trusted by leading health and aged care organisations, the company continues to scale internationally, with a growing presence in Australia, France and Belgium.

Judges praised The Pure Food Co for solving a problem for a sector that really needs it, with a solution rooted in care and purpose. Judges equally commended the company for the impact it has on the aged care segment, as well as the broader benefits its export growth brings to its New Zealand supply chain and shareholders.

Best Large Business: Gallagher Group

Gallagher Group is a global technology company delivering world-leading solutions in animal management and security to tens of thousands of customers in 160 countries. It designs, manufactures and exports the majority of its 3,500 products and solutions from New Zealand.

Judges commended Gallagher for successfully continuing to grow internationally while retaining operations in Hamilton. The judges also recognised Gallagher for the positive impact it has on wider New Zealand, through its collaboration and support of other New Zealand businesses.

Excellence in Brand Storytelling: Invivo Wines

Brought to you by New Zealand Story

Invivo Wines is the largest crowdfunded beverage company in the Southern Hemisphere, winning over 600 medals and trophies since launching. Exporting to 43 countries, Invivo has created long-term collaborations with celebrities, including Graham Norton and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Judges applauded Invivo for its disruptive marketing, labelling it impressive and daring. Judges thought the company had a strong overall story and a clever way of positioning New Zealand as part of its brand story, which has helped drive its export success.

Excellence in Growing Online Sales: Huski

Huski produces multi-award-winning drinkware products that blend innovative engineering with elegant design. Since its launch, Huski has shipped over 1.5 million products to more than 50 countries.

Judges commended Huski for achieving profitable growth via its e-commerce channel, and acknowledged this is not an easy feat to achieve. They applauded the company's strategic approach to its market positioning and growth playbook.

Excellence in Innovation: Cleanery

Cleanery creates cleaning and personal care products delivered as a powder that dissolves in water at home. It has demonstrated rapid international growth, particularly in the US, with ranging in the two largest US supermarkets.

Judges were impressed by the company's full stack innovation, and praised its approach to vertical integration in manufacturing. They thought it provided stronger protection and scalability for the company's innovation.

Excellence in Sustainability: AgriSea

Brought to you by Kiwibank

AgriSea is a B Corp-certified, Māori whānau-owned company that turns seaweed into biostimulants. AgriSea has grown from a base of biostimulants and animal feed additives that allow farmers to reduce inputs and boost farm efficiency.

Judges commended AgriSea on how sustainability is inherent to who they are, and that sustainability is a decision driver rather than an outcome of a decision. Judges also recognised that, by creating a business focused on the greater good, AgriSea has a cultural impact and broader influence in New Zealand.

Leveraging Capital for International Growth: Mindhive Global

Mindhive Global provides consistent leather quality assessments using AI-driven tech. The company has expanded its business from New Zealand into the USA, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Germany, South Africa, Japan and the UK.

Judges applauded Mindhive Global for its ability to leverage every round of investment it's received to fuel its international growth. They also commended the team for their leadership, resilience and strategic focus.

Tōnui Māori Excellence in Export: te Pā Family Vineyards

Brought to you by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and Te Puni Kōkiri

te Pā Family Vineyards is a Māori-owned, Marlborough-based wine producer with an award-winning wine portfolio. The company has helped elevate the profile of Māori wine producers on the global stage.

Judges commended te Pā for its success in growing an export business in a competitive sector, and uplifting kotahitanga on the international stage. Judges also loved how its connection to te ao Māori was integrated through the organisation and the community.

Inspiring Women Leaders: Amelia Linzey

Brought to you by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade | Manatū Aorere

Amelia is Group CEO of engineering, design and advisory firm, Beca. With 24 offices in the Asia-Pacific, Amelia’s focus is growing Beca’s impact across the region, particularly in water management and energy transition, to help build a positive legacy of sustainable and resilient communities for future generations.

Judges applauded Amelia for leading Beca’s evolution from traditional engineering into a digitally-enabled firm with a growing international footprint. They agreed that Amelia’s influence extends beyond Beca; she is a visible advocate for women in infrastructure and export. She champions diversity and empowers the next generation of leaders.
