The Australia Pacific (AusPac) team works from offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney (our head office) in Australia.
There are 29 of us, including a regional director and three trade commissioners, working to support New Zealand businesses in Australia, as well as those exploring opportunities in Pacific Island markets, such as Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Tonga.
We're responsible for:
helping New Zealand companies to design a local business strategy
helping businesses to connect with the right in-market partners
promoting export opportunities
promoting and leveraging "brand New Zealand" across the region.
We work closely with:
the New Zealand high commissions
New Zealand Police
New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs
Tourism New Zealand.
The roles we recruit most often are:
commercial business advisors.
Travel, visa and language requirements:
For some roles, you must be able to travel, domestically or internationally, although how often varies according to the position.
You must have the legal right to work in Australia.
You must be fluent in English.
For some roles, you might need to go through specific security clearances and vetting procedures.
