Latin America and the Caribbean includes 13 dependencies and 20 countries that span from Mexico in the north to Chile in the south.
Our Latin America team works from offices in São Paulo (Brazil), Santiago (Chile), Bogotá (Colombia), and Mexico City (Mexico).
There are about 30 of us, including four trade commissioners, working with around 100 businesses, many of which are in the agritech and food and beverage sectors.
We're responsible for:
enhancing the region's organisational capabilities
helping New Zealand companies to design a local business strategy
helping businesses to navigate Latin America's complex and sometimes bureaucratic environment
promoting export and investment opportunities
promoting and leveraging "brand New Zealand" across the region.
We work closely with:
New Zealand embassies
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The roles we recruit most often are:

Travel, visa and language requirements:
For some roles, you must be able to travel, domestically or internationally, although how often varies according to the position.
You must have the legal right to work in the country where a role is located.
You must be fluent in Spanish and English for roles in Chile, Colombia and Mexico.
You must be fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English for roles in Brazil.
For some roles, you might need to go through specific security clearances and vetting procedures.
